ADVANCED COURSE OF MEDITATION AND YOGA: DEEPENING COURSE (One Saturday per Month with Rachel and Giorgio)

corsiavanzati

The main purpose of this course is to make you independent in practice, both in asana postures, in breathing and in meditation. So that you will come to a place where you really want to sit on the mat and practice, feeling a need for growth on all levels. This need may not necessarily have a clear direction or logic at first, maybe it's just a feeling that you can live your life in a more complete and satisfying way.Our aim is to help you know how to put into practice this feeling, this need, transforming it into a movement, a breathe, a precise mental attitude. This requires serious work, essentially practical (The theory is a crown that completes the practical part), with continuous guidance on the part of the teachers. The day will be in itself already challenging and intense , with diverse modes of practice that build on one another.

We will not pretend to exhaust the subject of meditation and yoga, they are inexhaustible, but to allow them to deepen little by little, growing in each individual, creating a basis on which one can go forward in the direction that one feels more inclined. We do not care, for now, to create yoga or meditation teachers: it is much more difficult to be able to practice independently, constantly and creatively than to teach. A yoga or meditation teacher is not necessarily a good practitioner (although they should be) , but a serious practitioner has an extremely good chance of becoming a good teacher, even if it's only through the presence created by their practice. You can see it in their gestures and their thought worked into a class. You will feel it in their words, in the silences, and in their relationships with others, with themselves and with life.

OUTLINE OF THE COURSE

Elements of physiology in relation to the practice and to the fundamentals of Yoga- Deepening of the postures one by one, and the different possibilities for creating sequences in Hatha Yoga- Discussion of the original Sutras (ancient texts)- Study of Pranayama breathing techniques- Study of the mind and meditation in the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and Indian Yoga.

We feel that these two authentic traditions, Tibetan Vajrayana and Indian Yoga, when taught together augment each other creating an even greater opportunity to understand their essence so fascinating and subtle. The deeper aspects of these two traditions, Tibetan and Indian , complement each other, so that, if you study them together, they can mutually aid the student in the understanding and intuition of the truth that all the great masters have transmitted.

This desire to pass on our understanding, however small or insignificant is our life's work , as it would not make sense that these truths remain only with us, and not be shared through teaching: It becomes essential. However, don't let the apparent seriousness of these lines deceive you: There will also be an opportunity to laugh, smile and spend some profound but at the same time happy moments together. This writing is just a hint of what we will experience that, and to tell you honestly, even we don't know exactly how it will be…
